Class B Track and Field Leaders

Area athletes top five events among the Class B Track and Field leaders this week.

Warner’s Hunter Cramer has the top time in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, Brenden Begeman of Herreid-Selby Area has the top throw in the shot put, Leola’s Dustin Wurtz continues to lead the discus event, Gracie Lange of Ipswich is tied for the best high jump, and Wolsey-Wessington has the new lead time in the boys’ Sprint Medley relay.

Cramer is also second in the 110-meter high hurdles and Begeman is eighth in the discus.

Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter moved into the second spot in the 3,200-meter run this week, up two positions from last week. He is also third in the 1,600.

Other area leaders on the boys’ side include: Daniel Stoll of Faulkton (second in the 200 and tied for sixth in the 100), Trevor Heinz of Ipswich (second in the long jump), Abe Kretchman of Aberdeen Christian (second in the triple jump and third in the long jump), Johnathan Bretsch of Frederick (third in the 800, and fourth in the 400), Erik Salmen of Hitchcock-Tulare (third in the discus), Carson Walters of Wolsey-Wessington (tied for third in the pole vault), Carter Geditz of Ipswich (fourth in the 110 hurdles), TJ Salmen of Hitchcock-Tulare (fourth in the 300 hurdles and fifth in the 110 hurdles), Moshe Richmond of Wolsey-Wessington (fourth in the high jump), Tanner Dryer of Herreid-Selby Area (fourth in the triple jump), Carter Luikens of Potter County (fifth in the 400), Tyler Hettich of Ipswich (tied for fifth in the high jump), Jackson Isakson of Aberdeen Christian (fifth in the long jump), Turner Thorson of Ipswich (sixth in the 400), Julius Pagels of Wolsey-Wessington (sixth in the 800), Roman DiMaria of Faulkton (seventh in the 400), Maxwell Kulesa of Ipswich (seventh in the 800), Lucas Rowland of Ipswich (seventh in the shot put), Darrel Yost and Rasmus Loken of Ipswich (tied for seventh in the pole vault), Alex Pudwill of Warner (seventh in the pole vault), Caleb Richmond of Wolsey-Wessington (eighth in the 400), Lincoln Woodring of Northwestern (eighth in the 800 and 1,600), and Brendan Nowell of Hitchcock-Tulare (eighth in the triple jump). Other area relay teams are: Wolsey-Wessington (second in the 1,600 and sixth in the 3,200), Faulkton (third in the 400 and 800), Ipswich (third in the medley and 3,200, fourth in the 400, seventh in the 800, and eighth in the 1,600), Warner (fourth in the 800 and seventh in the 400), and Frederick (fourth in the 1,600 and fifth in the 3,200).

Other area leaders on the girls’ side include: Ella Boekelheide of Northwestern (second in the 1,600 and 3,200, and sixth in the 800), Marley Guthmiller of Ipswich (tied for second in pole vault, and sixth in the 100 hurdles), Shawnteah La Croix of Aberdeen Christian (fourth in the 100 and 200), Ella Haven of Northwestern (fourth in the triple jump), Emma Schlachter of Potter County (fifth in the 800), Tate Luce of Wolsey-Wessington (tied for fifth in the high jump and tied for eighth in the pole vault), Addison Melius of Faulkton (tied for fifth in the high jump), Ashley Ptacek of Ipswich (fifth in the triple jump), Quincy Olivier of Ipswich (tied for fifth in the pole vault), Avery Miles of Hitchcock-Tulare (seventh in the 1,600 and eighth in the 800), Mya Boomsma of Wolsey-Wessington (seventh in the long jump), Kennadee Wiedebush of Warner (eighth in the 3,200), Dannika Kaup of Potter County (eighth in the 300 hurdles), Savanna Hayes of Faulkton (eighth in the shot put), Sterling Mertens of Britton-Hecla (eighth in the long jump), and Jalyssa Hutson of Ipswich (tied for eighth in the pole vault). Area relay teams are: Potter County (third in the 1,600, medley and 3,200), Northwestern (fourth in the 3,200, and seventh in the 1,600 and medley), and Wolsey-Wessington (sixth in the 400).
