Ipswich boys, Clark-Willow Lake girls win Falcon Invitational titles

WATERTOWN – The Ipswich boys’ golf team, which had three players in the top 10, captured the team championship during the Falcon Invitational golf tournament on Thursday.

The Tigers edged Webster for the team title by eight strokes.

Ipswich’s Chet Peterson was runner-up, one stroke behind medalist Logan Vavruska of Florence-Henry, who shot an 80. Jace Konsor of Ipswich was fourth, while teammate Tucker Kadlec was 10th.

Webster had a pair of top 10 finishers as Ian Lesnar was fifth, and Thomas Kuecker was sixth.

Clark-Willow Lake’s Brynn Roehrich ran away with medalist honors in the girls’ division with a 76, 20 strokes better than the rest of the field. Clark-Willow Lake, which won the team crown, had two other golfers in the top seven as Jalen Hohm was third and Mallory Nelson was seventh.

Webster, which was runner-up in team points, had three girls in the top six with Bailey Ninke, Bailey Somsen and Joslyn Haugen, fourth, fifth and sixth, respectively.
