Redfield blanks Elkton for baseball victory

ELKTON – The Redfield Muskrats used a five-run second inning to pull away for a 10-0 win over the Elkton Blue Sox in a high school baseball contest on Tuesday.

Redfield had five hits and stole seven bases on their way to the five-inning win.

Elliott Komraus got the scoring started for Redfield drive in a run in the top of the first.

In the second inning, Nolan Gall drove in one run, while Keaton Rohlfs’ double drove in three runs. Rohlfs then scored a run of his own to round out the inning.

The Muskrats then added three runs in the third inning. Mason Whitley singled to score Kevin Weller, while Gall later singled to score Whitley. Rohlfs then drove in Gall with another run.

Redfield capped off the scoring in the fourth inning with one more run.

Rohlfs also led the Muskrats on the mound, allowing one hit and striking out five in three innings.
