Wadsworth, Sayler earn basketball awards

SIOUX FALLS – Kami Wadsworth of Hamlin was named Miss Basketball, and White River’s Joe Sayler was selected Mr. Basketball at a Hansen & Anderson Basketball Banquet Sunday.

Wadsworth led the Chargers to an undefeated Class A state girls’ basketball championship this past season. The University of Sioux Falls commit averaged 22 points, 6.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.

Sayler, headed to South Dakota State next season, averaged 30.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game for the Tigers this past year.
