Larchwood goes deep for win over Aberdeen Circus

SIOUX FALLS – The Larchwood Diamonds pounded out three home runs to help power a 9-4 amateur baseball victory over Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar on Sunday.

Larchwood, which finished with 14 hits in all, scored four runs in the bottom of the third inning for a lead it never lost.

Aberdeen scored once in the third on Michael Babcock’s RBI single, added another run in the seventh on a run-scoring by Kelly Coates, and then plated two in the top of the ninth for the final margin of difference when Coates drove in a pair with a double.

Coates finished with three hits and knocked in three. Babcock contributed two hits.
