Redfield blanks Hamlin to open Milbank tourney

MILBANK – Redfield made the most of its opportunities to record a 10-0 win over Hamlin at the Milbank Tournament in American Legion baseball action on Friday afternoon.

Redfield scored two runs on sacrifice flies, two more on ground outs, another on a balk and another on an error to help fuel the victory.

Nolan Gall had a two-run single to highlight a five-run second inning to break the game open. Owen Osborn had an RBI single in the fifth.

Gall finished with three hits, while Keaton Rohlfs had a pair of hits, including a triple in the fifth inning.

Redfield had seven hits and also took advantage of six walks and three Hamlin errors.

Osborn was efficient in five innings on the mound, allowing just two singles.

Redfield meets Sioux Valley at 4 this afternoon in the tournament.
