Circus collects amateur victory over Groton

Michael Babcock had four hits and drove in six runs as Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar rolled past Groton Locke Electric 22-0 in amateur baseball at Fossum Field Wednesday night.

Babcock had a bases-loaded double in the first inning, and added an RBI single, and a two-run double in the second frame.

Circus scored eight runs in the bottom of the first. Spencer Sudbeck, Tyler Oliver, Ryan Ellingson and Chad Ellingson each drove in one run.

Circus then exploded for 14 runs in the second inning. Oliver, Kelly Coates and Chad Ellingson each drove in two runs in the outburst. Niko Pezonella, Sudbeck and Jesse Babcock also brought home runs.

Sudbeck finished with three hits, while Oliver had three RBI.
