NORTHVILLE – Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar scored 10 unanswered runs on the way to a 14-5 amateur baseball victory over Northville on Friday night.
Circus erased a 5-4 deficit with six runs in the sixth inning, before adding two runs in both the eighth and ninth frames to finish off the win.
Aberdeen scored five runs with two outs in the sixth. After Michael Babcock plated the first run on a sacrifice fly, a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch brought in two more. Jesse Babcock then produced a two-run single before Jacob Beuster capped the uprising with an RBI single.
Michael Babcock drove in runs with singles in both the eighth and the ninth.
After Circus grabbed a 2-0 lead in the top of the first, Northville used three hits and three walks to score four runs in the bottom half of the inning. Circus scored two more times in the top of the second as Niko Pezonella had his second RBI double in as many innings.
Northville pieced together three straight singles to produce another run in the fourth before Circus took over.
Michael Babcock had three hits, while Pezonella, Chad Ellingson, Spencer Sudbeck, Kelly Coates, and Jesse Babcock each had two in Aberdeen’s 15-hit attack. Circus also took advantage of 14 walks in the contest.
Michael Babcock and Pezonella each drove in three runs. Pezonella also struck out eight batters in four innings of relief pitching.
Circus is scheduled to host Miller on Sunday at Fossum Field.
