Aberdeen Circus Sports Bar scored early and often on the way to an 18-1 amateur baseball win over the Miller-Wessington Outlaws Sunday night at Fossum Field.
After Miller-Wessington scored in the top of the first inning, it was all Circus after that as the hosts scored three times in the bottom of the first, five times in the second, tacked on six more runs in the third, and added four runs in the fourth.
Aberdeen produced three two-out runs in the first inning as Kelly Coates and Jesse Babcock sandwiched run-scoring singles around a passed ball that plated a run.
Josh Steinwandt tripled to start the second inning and scored on a single by Colton Cox. Michael Babcock followed with an RBI double, Spencer Subeck added a run-producing single, and Coates drove in another run with a double.
Sudbeck and Michael Babcock both had two-run singles in the third inning, while Coates had another RBI double, and Jesse Babcock brought in another run with a triple, before adding a two-run double in the fourth.
Coates finished the night with four hits, three RBI and scored four times. Sudbeck had three hits, and also drove in three and scored four runs. Jesse Babcock had three hits and plated four runs.
Meanwhile, Lucas Heiser collected six strikeouts in four innings of work on the mound, as Circus improved to 8-4 on the season.
