Redfield rolls to victory over Castlewood

CASTLEWOOD – Redfield racked up 18 hits on the way to a 15-2 victory over Castlewood in American Legion baseball action Thursday night.

Camden Osborn had four hits, and Erik Salmen added three – all doubles – to lead the offensive attack.

Already owning a 7-0 advantage, Redfield scored eight runs in the sixth inning to ice the victory. Owen Osborn had an RBI single, Nolan Gall added a two-run single, Salmen doubled in a run, Eli Morrissette drove in another on a fielder’s choice, Kevin Weller had an RBI double, and Camden Osborn and Keaton Rohlfs each had run-producing singles.

Redfield, which improved to 14-5 on the season, scored the first two runs of the game in the top of the first, on RBI singles from Owen Osborn and Gall.

Redfield tacked on another run in the third inning on a sacrifice fly by Gall.

In the fourth inning, Redfield posted four more runs as Siebrecht, Elliott Komraus and Camden Osborn each drove in runs and another came in on an error.

Gall got the pitching victory, throwing 5 2/3 innings, allowing two runs on two hits, while striking out seven. He also drove in four runs to help his cause.

Owen Osborn, Rohlfs, Gall and Morrissette each had two hits. Camden Osborn and Owen Osborn each drove in a pair and scored three times.
