The Faulkton Trojans moved up one spot from fifth to fourth in Class 9B in this week’s Prep Media Football Polls. Faulkton plays at top-rated and defending state champion Hitchcock-Tulare on Friday.
The Patriots continue to be the number one team in the class with 16 of a possible 19 first-place votes. The other three first-place votes went to second-rated De Smet. Herreid-Selby Area is in the receiving votes category.
Gregory is the top rated squad in Class 9A with all but one first-place vote, which went to second-rated Warner. Neither team has played yet this season.
Wolsey-Wessington is rated third and squares off against Gregory on Friday. Castlewood is receiving votes.

Howard is the top squad in Class 9AA with 16 first-place votes. Two of the other first-place votes went to second-rated Wall and the other to fourth-rated Hamlin.
Winner, which pulled out a triple-overtime win last weekend, continues to lead Class 11B with a dozen first-place votes. Elk-Point Jefferson, rated second, received the other seven first-place votes. Deuel is once again receiving votes.
The Class 11AAA, 11AA and 11A polls remain unchanged since they open the season this weekend.
Sioux Falls Lincoln tops 11AAA, Pierre leads 11AA, and Dell Rapids is rated first in 11A. Aberdeen Central is rated fifth in 11AA.
