Northern volleyball picked to finish eighth, Walker Player to Watch

The Northern State volleyball squad was picked to finish eighth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Preseason Volleyball Poll. The Wolves received 108 points.

Concordia-St. Paul tops the poll with eight-first place votes. Wayne State is ranked second and received seven first-place votes. Rounding out the top five are Minnesota Duluth in third, St. Cloud State in fourth, and Southwest Minnesota State in fifth.

Taya Beller of Wayne State was chosen as the NSIC Preseason Player of the Year.

Setter Keri Walker is Northern State’s Player to Watch this season.

The Wolves open their season Sept. 1-2 at a tournament in Arkansas.
