MITCHELL – Cole Brust birdied two of the final four holes of the day to finish fourth overall and lead the Aberdeen Central boys’ golf team to a 13th place finish at the Mitchell Invitational Friday at Lakeview Golf Course.

Brust’s round of 72 was just two shots back of medalist Mac Drake of O’Gorman.

As a team, the Golden Eagles posted a round of 332, good for 13th in the 20-team field. Harrisburg claimed the team honors with its 4-man score of 295. O’Gorman was one shot back in second place.

Peyton Brust was Central’s second scorer with his round of 83. Carter Blanchard carded an 88 and Jackson Ravellette finished with an 89 to round out Central’s scoring contingent.

Central will head to Sisseton Thursday for the Sisseton Invitational in a final tuneup ahead of the Eastern South Dakota Conference tournament, set for Sept. 25 in Yankton.
