All the leaders retained their top spots, except for one in this week’s Media Prep football polls.

Canistota overtook Warner for the number one position in the Class 9A poll by the slimmest of margins. Canistota had one less first-place vote, but managed to finish with one more point. The Hawks claimed 12 first-place votes and 112 points, while Warner had 13 first-place votes and 111 points.

Elsewhere, Faulkton is a unanimous number selection in Class 9B, and Sioux Falls Lincoln is the other unanimous pick in Class 11AA.

Other number one teams remain Pierre in 11AA, Dell Rapids in 11A, Winner in 11B, and Parkston in 9AA.

Hamlin continues to be rated second in 9AA, while Wolsey-Wessington is third in 9A, and Hitchcock-Tulare and Herreid-Selby Area remain third and fifth, respectively, in 9B.

Aberdeen Central is back to the receiving votes category in 11AA, while Deuel continues to receive votes in 11B.
