SISSETON – Deuel runners swept both the individual and team championships during the Sisseton Invitational Cross County Meet on Thursday afternoon.
Tyson Hagberg defeated teammate Cason Hourigan by 10 seconds in the boys’ race as the Cardinals won the team title. Jaycee Hourgan of Deuel won the girls’ race and teammates Isabella Imm and Shyla Tvedt in third and fourth, respectively to lead the Cardinals to the girls’ team crown.
Madison Zirbel of Waubay-Summit finished runner-up in the girls’ race. Sisseton’s Ryder Graff was third in the boys’ race.
