All of the leaders retained their top spots in this week’s Prep Media football polls.

The most notable difference this past week is that Canistota widened its lead over Warner on top of the Class 9A poll following a victory over Elkton-Lake Benton this past weekend.

Faulkton continues to be the top-rated team in Class 9B. The Trojans received all of the first-place votes.

Unbeaten Faulkton and unbeaten Warner square off Friday night at Dacotah Bank Stadium on the campus of Northern State in the Lake Region Conference Classic. Kick off will be around 7 p.m.

Hamlin, which will play Warner next week, continues to be rated second in Class 9AA. The unbeaten Chargers received three first-place votes.

Other top rated teams are Sioux Falls Lincoln in 11AAA, Pierre in 11AA, Dell Rapids in 11A, Winner in 11B, and Parkston in 9AA.

Hitchcock-Tulare is rated fifth in 9B.

Among the area teams receiving votes are Aberdeen Central in 11AA, Deuel in 11B, and Wolsey-Wessington in 9A.
