CHAMBERLAIN - Miller's Alex Schumacher edged teammate Pierce Baumberger as the duo claimed the top two spots in the boys' division at the Big Dakota Conference Cross Country Meet at the Chamberlain Country Club on Thursday. Schumacher won the race by seven seconds.
Potter County's Nicholas Schlachter finished fourth. Philip won the team title, with Miller second.
Kinzey Evans of Chamberlain won the girls' race. Heidi Olson of Mobridge-Pollock finished second, and Dannika Kaup of Potter County was fourth. Chamberlain won the girls' team crown with Potter County in second.
