Wolves knock off Duluth in five-set thriller

DULUTH, Minn. – Northern State rallied from two sets down to defeat seventh-rated Minnesota Duluth in five sets Friday night.

The Wolves, who won their 10th straight match, won by set scores of 24-26, 19-25, 27-25, 26-24, 16-14.

Abby Brooks and Natalia Szybinska each had 17 kills to power Northern, while Hanna Thompson contributed 13.

The win was just the seventh for Northern over Duluth in program history.

The Wolves take on sixth-rated St. Cloud State today.
