Eastern Coteau Conference announces all-conference teams

The Eastern Coteau Conference has selected its 11-man and 9-man all-conference squads.

Deuel won the 11-man title, while Britton-Hecla won the 9-man championship.

Here is a look at each of the members of the teams:

11-Man

All-Conference Team: Robert Begalka, Trey Maaland, Gabe Sather, Kaden TeKrony, and Reed VanWormer of Deuel, Elliott Bratland, Jack Helkenn, Josh Kannegieter, and Emmerson Larson of Clark-Willow Lake, Brent Bearman, Jacob Keller, and Carson Mount of Webster, and Brooks Dolen and Dylan Rumpza of Dakota Hills.

Honorable Mention: Aden Baer and Oliver Fieber of Deuel, Christian Gonzalez and Griffin Musser of Clark-Willow Lake, Matthew Mount of Webster, and Tigh Gaikowski of Dakota Hills.

Offensive MVP: Trey Maaland of Deuel.

Defensive MVP: Roberta Begalk of Deuel.

Coach of the Year: Dustin Hourigan of Deuel.

9-Man

All-Conference Team: Dashel Davidson, Bryce Hawkinson, Daniel Person, and Jaxon Zuehlke of Britton-Hecla, Micah Holien, Brody Scharlemann, and Myles York of Great Plains Lutheran; Zachary Ries and Cody Thompson of Waverly-South Shore, and Karter Kohlenberg of Florence-Henry.

Honorable Mention: Collin Beaner and Andre Herrera of Britton-Hecla, Jacob Bartels and Thomas Erickson of Great Plains Lutheran, Brady Eschen of Waverly-South Shore, and Tristyn Sumner of Florence-Henry.

Offensive MVP: Zachary Ries of Waverly-South Shore.

Defensive MVP: Myles York of Great Plains Lutheran.

Coach of the Year: Aaron Schleusener of Great Plains Lutheran.
