Potter County, Philip win team titles at Highmore meet

HIGHMORE – Potter County won the girls’ team championship, while Philip captured the boys’ title during the Highmore Action Club Cross Country Meet on Saturday.

Dannika Kaup of Potter County won the girls’ race to lead three Battlers among the top five individual finishers. Teammates Emma Schlachter and Jadyn Ahlemeier finished fourth and fifth, respectively.

Miller’s Pierce Baumberger won the boys’ race followed by teammate Wakely Bruns in second. Potter County’s Nicholas Schlachter finished fifth.
