Aberdeen Central’s Grace Kuch has been selected to the second team of the Class AA all-state volleyball team.

The senior was the leading hitter for the Golden Eagles when she suffered a season-ending injury in early October. She still had 206 kills, 24 ace serves, 183 digs, seven solo blocks and five block assists. She had more than 900 kills in her career.

“The impact she left on the program is huge regardless of how her career ended with her not being able be on the court with us at the end,” said Central coach Jackie Bindenagel. Kuch played six rotations for the Eagles this season. “There was just something about having Grace on the court,” Bindenagel said. “Having her experience out there helped our younger kids.”
