TULARE – Katelyn Schroeder racked up 17 kills, including her 1,000th career kill, to help lead Hitchcock-Tulare past Langford Area 25-12, 25-12, 25-22 in Region 1B volleyball action Tuesday night. Isabel Gilbert added eight kills as the Patriots finished with 38 as a team. Lila Johnson had 30 set assists. Hitchcock-Tulare plays at Northwestern in the semifinals on Thursday. Eliana Darling topped Langford Area with four kills and added 14 digs. Serving: Langford Area 38-40 2 aces; Hitchcock-Tulare 71-76 7 aces (Ella Johnson 12-14 3 aces, Gracyn Bixler 20-22 2 aces).
