MARQUETTE, Mich. – Northern State finished off its football season on a high note with a 44-20 non-conference victory over Northern Michigan on Saturday afternoon.
The Wolves bolted out to a 23-0 lead and racked up nearly 500 yards from scrimmage en route to the win. Northern received points from its offense, defense and special teams on the day.
Jacob Van Landingham passed for 290 yards and four touchdowns to lead the NSU offense. Dakota Larson finished with 157 yards receiving and one TD reception. Dewaylon Ingram had 69 yards receiving and a pair of touchdown catches. Hunter DeRize also caught hauled in a TD catch.
The Wolves added 186 yards rushing to their 300-yard passing total. Hank Kraft rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown, while Brett Brenton added 71 yards. Kraft also returned a kickoff 88 yards for a score.
The Northern defense, which recorded three interceptions, also accounted for a safety. Jake Adams led the Wolves with 15 tackles.

Northern finished its season with a 5-6 record.
Ingram broke his own single season receiving record with a total of 1,204 yards. Larson concluded his career with school records for total yards at 3,654 and touchdowns with 31.
