All of the area squads remained in the same positions as last week during this week's Prep Media basketball polls.
Aberdeen Central stayed in the fifth spot in Class AA girls, while the Hamlin boys in Class A, the Castlewood boys in Class B, and the Sisseton girls in Class A all remain rated second. Aberdeen Roncalli and Hamlin are still in the receiving votes category in Class A girls as is Sully Buttes in Class B girls. There is one new area squad in the mix this week as Herreid-Selby Area joined the receiving votes ranks in Class B girls.

There is one new top-rated team this week as Harrisburg took over the number one spot in Class AA boys. Other number teams continue to be Sioux Falls Christian in Class A boys, De Smet in Class B boys, O'Gorman in Class AA girls, Wagner in Class A girls, and Wall in Class B girls.
