HURON – Spencer Melius converted a steal into a game-winning layup in the closing seconds as Faulkton rallied for a 55-53 non-conference boys’ basketball victory over Burke during the Huron Holiday Classic on Saturday.
Faulkton trailed by two points in the final minute before Gian DiMaria scored to tie the game, setting up the final sequence.
Layne Cotton had 34 points, six rebounds, two assists and a pair of steals for the Trojans, who improved to 4-2 on the season.
Quinten Bull topped Burke with 16 points and seven rebounds.
