JAMESTOWN, N.D. – The Aberdeen Central gymnastics squad had a strong showing during a tri-state meet in Jamestown on Tuesday night.

The Golden Eagles recorded a season-high total of 132.175 to finish in third place.

“We got our highest score so far this season and that was with a really tough day at the balance beam,” said Central coach Mickey Everson. “Lots of falls and missed connections, but we gathered ourselves and made up for it in floor and vault with some high scores and good performances.”

Regan Lust led the Eagles with a 9.050 on floor, while Breckan Santjer and Johanna Jarrott paced Central with scores of 8.950 on vault.

Santjer was Central’s top finisher in the all-around with a total of 33.050.

“I’m super proud of how these girls went with the flow of it and held together even through the few struggles we had tonight,” Everson said. “I look forward to what we can do when it all comes together.”

The Eagles will compete at a meet in Milbank on Saturday.
