As we head into the final days of 2023, the list of sporting events in the calendar year is quickly coming to a close and rightfully so. Coaches and athletes need to spend some time with family and friends during the holidays and exhale, if only for a few days.

While there will not be games to cover in an upcoming five-day stretch, we will still have plenty of quality content each day on SD SportScene. In fact, this is always a fun time of the year as we look back on the best of the past 12 months.

We have two of our favorite annual features that we trust that you will enjoy as well. For starters we will feature the best quotes of the past year. It’s always fun to see who made the list and it is sure to put a smile on your face as you recall some of the events during 2023. We will follow that up with our top photos from the past year by John Davis. How he selects them has to be a daunting task, because JD supplies high-quality action sports photos throughout the entire year. Make sure you don’t miss finding out which images made his list.

In addition, we have several other feature stories lined up and ready to go that we believe will be well worth reading. In short, even though there won’t be live events for a period of about week, you will still have plenty of quality content to find each day on our website.
