Wolves stay unbeaten in NSIC with win over Minot

MINOT, N.D. – The Northern State women’s basketball team won its fifth straight Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game to start the season with a 67-57 triumph over Minot State Thursday night.

The Wolves built a 10-point lead in the opening quarter and never trailed the rest of the evening en route to the victory.

Madelyn Bragg topped NSU with 23 points on 9 of 11 shooting from the field. She also hauled down eight rebounds.

Rianna Fillipi had her first double-double of the season with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Northern State is now 9-2 on the season in addition to being 5-0 in the conference. The Wolves conclude the 2023 portion of their schedule with another NSIC contest Saturday at Minnesota Crookston.
