Biegler wins title, Golden Eagles second at Lee Wolf tourney

In a final round that featured a couple of marquee rematches, Aberdeen Central grabbed one individual championship and just missed out on three others during the Lee Wolf Invitational wrestling tournament on Saturday. Elias Biegler won the 165-pound championship to help lead the Golden Eagles to a runner-up finish in team points behind Canton at Golden Eagles Arena. "He was kind of dominant through the tournament," Central coach Donnie Bowden said of Biegler. "In the semifinals he was down and he had a big throw to beat a really good kid. Then in the finals he was really dominant. He just had a heckuva day." Biegler got a takedown and a three-point near fall to set the tone in the championship match. "Getting off out of that failed shot, just arm around the back and I hip-tossed him," Biegler explained of his takedown. From there, Biegler rode out his opponent for the entire second period, which is no small accomplishment. "My stamina has been getting a lot better," B
