The first six minutes of the second half proved to be pretty special for the Northern State women's basketball team Friday night. The Wolves not only outscored Wayne State 13-2 to break open a tight game during that stretch, Rianna Fillipi scored her 1,000th career point in the process. The point guard had team high totals of 18 points, 10 rebounds and six assists to help lead Northern to a 62-53 Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory at Wachs Arena.
