There was a major shakeup among the Prep Media basketball polls this week as half of the six divisions have new top-rated teams.

Mitchell has taken over the top spot in Class AA Boys, Viborg-Hurley now resides atop the Class B boys, and Ethan is the new number one team in Class B Girls. Other squads that retained their top positions are Sioux Falls Christian in Class A boys, O’Gorman in Class AA girls, and Sisseton in Class A girls.

Hamlin inched up one spot to second in Class A boys, after snapping Dakota Valley’s 62-game winning streak and now has a rematch with SF Christian on Saturday during the Dak XII-NEC Clash. SFC won the first meeting between the two Chargers by two points.

Castlewood dropped one spot to third in Class B boys after a one-point setback to Viborg-Hurley. Unbeaten Leola-Frederick is just outside the top five.

Aberdeen Central is receiving votes in Class AA girls, while Florence-Henry and Aberdeen Roncalli are in the receiving votes category in Class A girls.
