Castlewood is back on top of the Class B boys in this week’s Prep Media basketball polls.

The Warriors inched up one position after last week’s top squad White River fellow to Class A power Pine Ridge. Castlewood received 10 first-place votes, White River received six first-place votes in second, while third-rated De Smet received two first-place votes. Leola-Frederick continues to be just outside of the top five, and Aberdeen Christian is now in in the receiving votes category for the first time this season.

Other area teams in this week’s polls include Hamlin, rated second in Class A boys, Sisseton, rated third in Class A girls, and Florence-Henry, receiving votes in Class A girls.

Other number-one rated teams continue to be Mitchell in Class AA boys, Sioux Falls Christian in Class A boys, O’Gorman in Class AA girls, Flandreau in Class A girls, and Ethan in Class B girls.
