Northern State received at least eight points from five different players on the way to an 85-54 win over Minnesota Crookston at Wachs Arena Saturday.

The Wolves exploded for 29 first-quarter points to pave the way in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference victory.

Rianna Fillipi and Madelyn Bragg each scored 14 points to top NSU, while Brynn Alfson finished with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Decontee Smith added 10 points, and Morgan Fiedler tossed in eight.

The win avenged an earlier loss to the Golden Eagles at Crookston.

Northern, 17-7 overall and 13-5 in the NSIC, has its final regular-season home games this coming weekend, hosting Winona State on Friday and Minnesota State on Saturday at Wachs Arena.
