Wolves blitz Crookston in second half for men’s win

Northern State outscored Minnesota Crookston 49-33 in the final 20 minutes to grab an 83-68 men’s college basketball victory Saturday at Wachs Arena.

The Wolves, who trailed by one at the half, shot 61 percent from the field in the second half to secure the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference win.

Jackson Moni topped NSU with 29 points and 10 rebounds. His totals included a 12-for-13 performance from the free-throw stripe.

Josh Dilling added 22 points to the Northern ledger, while Andrew Bergan followed with 12, and Augustin Reede finished with nine.

The Wolves are now 10-14 overall and 8-10 in the NSIC. They will host their final regular-season home games when they take on Winona State on Friday, and Minnesota State on Saturday at Wachs Arena.
