The Aberdeen Central girls can be found in all six field events in the first edition of the Class AA track and field leaders this week.
The Golden Eagles are led by Taryn Hermansen who is third in the shot put and Madison Hochstetter who is third in the triple jump and tied for fourth in the high jump along with teammate Ciara Frank at 5 feet, 2 inches.
Hochstetter is also tied for sixth in the 100-meter hurdles, and Frank is fourth in the 100 hurdles, and has the sixth best long jump.
Taryn Nieman is seventh in the discus and Brecken Santjer is eighth in the pole vault.
Gracie Rife has the sixth best time in the 100-meter dash.
The Golden Eagles are also fourth in the 400-meter and 800-meter relays, and eighth in the 3,200-meter relay.
There are five different Central boys among the open events in the boys’ leaders.

David VanVeen is third in the 800, and Tyler Bain is tied for third in the high jump. Jack Bertsch has the sixth best throw in the discus, and Colby Dauwen and Evan Heuer are both eighth in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles and shot put, respectively.
The Eagles have the second best time in the 3,200-meter relay with a clocking of 8:31.96. Central is seventh in the 1,600-meter relay.
