Lake Region Conference athletes top more than a half dozen events in this week's Class B track and field leaders.
Northwestern's Ella Boekelheide sets the pace in two races (the 800-meter run and the 1,600-meter run) and is second in two others (the 400 and 3,200). Jalyssa Hutson of Ipswich leads the pole vault with teammate Marley Guthmiller second, and Warner's Jordyn Jensen tied for third.
Shawnteah La Croix is second in the 100 and 200, and fellow LRC member Savanna Hayes of Faulkton is second in the javelin. Madisyn Gellhaus of Ipswich is third in the 1,600 with Morgan Sumption of Frederick fifth.
On the boys' side, Lake Region Conference athletes lead six events. Faulkton's Spencer Melius tops the javelin, Rasmus Loken of Ipswich has the best height in the pole vault and teammate Trevor Heinz is tied for first in the long jump, and Northwestern's Lincoln Woodring has the fastest time in the 800-meter run and is third in the 1,600.
