North Central sweeps championships at YTC meet

EUREKA – North Central won both team championships during the Yellowstone Trail Conference track and field meet Thursday. The Thunder scored 270 points in the boys’ division and 230 points on the girls’ side. Potter County was runner-up in both.

Timothy Rucker led North Central winning the 110-meter high hurdles, the 300-meter intermediate hurdles, and the triple jump, and finishing runner-up in the high jump.

Potter County athletes also had a big meet.

Jadyn Ahlemeier won the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs, and ran on the winning 1,600-meter relay. On the boys’ side, Sean Seurer won the 100-meter dash and was a part of first place 400, 800 and sprint medley relay squads. Nicholas Schlachter won the 1,600 and 3,200.

Herreid-Selby Area’s Breanna Jochim won the 100, 200 and the long jump.
