BISMARCK – Leonid Bulgakov scored in the opening minute of overtime to lift the Aberdeen Wings to a 3-2 win over Bismarck to level their NAHL playoff series at one game apiece Saturday night.

Bulgakov, who scored in the final 10 seconds of the first period, finished off the evening with a goal 44 seconds into the OT to give the Wings the victory.

After a scoreless first period, the Bobcats produced the first goal of the contest before Bulgakov scored with 9.6 seconds left in the second period to tie the score with assists by Matthew Wisener and Nikolai Tishkevich. Drew Mackie then scored 51 seconds into the third period with assists by Tishkevich and Simon Pollock, and the Wings played with the lead until the hosts tied score with 4:16 remaining in regulation.

Bulgakov, who leads Aberdeen in scoring on the season, then wasted little time in finding the back of the net in the extra session for his 24th goal of the year, again with assists by Tishkevich and Pollock.

The Bobcats outshot the Wings 31-22, but Adam Dybal recorded 29 saves in goal for the Wings.

The best of five series now shifts to Aberdeen for two games next weekend. Game three will take place at 7:15 p.m. Friday at the Odde Ice Center.
