Castlewood, Clark-Willow Lake claim medalist, team titles

WATERTOWN – Castlewood, behind medalist Lane Tvedt, and Clark-Willow Lake, powered by medalist Brynn Roehrich, won team championships during the Pre-Region 1B golf tournament Monday at Cattail Crossing in Watertown.

Tvedt shot a round of 70, three strokes better than Logan Vavruska of Florence-Henry in boys’ division. Roehrich, who shot an 82, edged Bailee Ninke of Webster by one stroke on the girls’ side.

Aberdeen Christian was led by Ellis Russell who finished 18th with an 83.

“That round definitely speaks for itself,” said Knights coach Tyler Pridey. “Really awesome to see him play well.”

Becker Bosma shot an 87, Jett Johnson fired a 95, and Josh Schaunaman finished with a 100.

“Jett, Becker, and Josh all played well in addition,” Pridey said. “Overall, great day for the guys. Great to see them play well today.”

The Webster boys and the Clark-Willow Lake girls won the Eastern Coteau Conference portion of the tourney. Medalists were Vavruska and Roehrich.
