Castlewood picks up twinbill sweep over Milbank

CASTLEWOOD – Castlewood racked up 28 hits and 27 runs en route to a softball sweep over Milbank on Friday. The Warriors won the first game 13-4, and took the nightcap 14-5.

Gracie Haug had three hits, including a double and a triple, and drove in three runs for Castlewood in the opener. Claire Horn struck out 12 batters over five innings in the victory.

The Warriors collected 19 hits, eight for extra bases, in the second contest. Lucy Jacobsen had three hits and knocked in four. She doubled and homered in the contest. Cassidy Kirwan and Morgan Wilson also had three hits for Castlewood. Horn fanned nine batters in that game.
