
RAPID CITY – Aberdeen Roncalli is sitting in third place in team points after the first day of the Class A State Tennis Tournament on Monday.
The Cavaliers won a variety of matches, probably the most notable by Landon Zikmund at flight four singles. The senior, seeded sixth going into the tourney, knocked off the third-seeded player in the quarterfinals in straight sets losing just two total games.
Roncalli will be involved in multiple placing matches when action resumes today.
Milbank is in ninth place in team points.
The Bulldogs won five of their six first-round matches in singles, and two of their three in doubles.
