While the Howard Wood Dakota Relays in Sioux Falls produced many of the state’s top times and distances this past weekend, it was not the only meet that featured a quality mark. Lindsey Geier of North Central moved into fourth place in the Class A triple jump after her winning attempt of 34 feet, 7 and half inches at the Eureka Legion Relays on Saturday. Other area girls who are among the top five in this week's leaders are Chloe Langager of Sisseton who is third in the shot put, and Milbank’s Jacy Dexter who is tied for fourth in the pole vault, and Sierra Wenzl who is fifth in the 400-meter dash. Great Plains Lutheran has the fourth best time in the sprint medley relay, while Milbank is fifth in the 1,600-meter relay. In the boys’ division, Hamlin and Milbank both had big meets at Howard Wood. Hamlin’s Zac Van Meeteren is third in the 200, eighth in the 400, and is a member of the second place 400-meter relay squad and the seventh place 800-meter relay team.
