It has been a quiet week for the Aberdeen Central track and field squads, who have not had a meet in more than 10 days.

That said, the Golden Eagles are still holding strong in the Class AA girls’ field events, where they can be found in all categories except the javelin.

Taryn Nieman continues to have the second-best throw in the discus, while teammate Taryn Hermansen has the second-best mark in the shot put.

Madison Hochstetter is among the leaders in three events. The senior is third in the triple jump, tied for fourth in the high jump, and tied for seventh in the 100-meter hurdles.

Ciara Frank is also in the top eight in three events. She is tied for fourth in the high jump, fifth in the 100 hurdles, and seventh in the long jump.

Brecken Santjer is tied for seventh in the pole vault, and the Golden Eagles are fifth in the 800-meter relay, and sixth in the 400-meter relay.

Tyler Bain leads the Central boys, tied for fourth in the high jump.
