REDFIELD – It was business as usual for Claire Crawford and the Aberdeen Roncalli girls’ golf team on Monday.

Crawford won her third consecutive individual championship, and the Cavaliers were the team champs for the straight year during the Northeast Conference golf tournament.

Crawford shot an 80 to win medalist honors by 14 strokes.

“It was fun watching Claire today,” said Roncalli coach Jon Murdy. “She was doing many things right today.”

The Cavaliers finished with a team total of 381. Grace Seyer was third with a 96, Morgan Helms fifth with a 101, and Mackenzie Wegehaupt ninth with a 104. Ava Danielson was 11th with 110, and Grace Henrich 16th with a 121.

“With par being 76 for the girls today, it was great watching those girls compete,” Murdy said.

Groton’s Carly Guthmiller was runner-up with teammate Carlee Johnson fourth.

Roncalli is winding down the regular season with just one meet left before regions.

“Got a few days to fix a few of our faults before Sisseton on Thursday,” Murdy said. “Hoping to get all the girls going before next week.”
