SIOUX FALLS – Aberdeen Central had a runner thrown out at home plate in the top of the first inning and Sioux Falls Lincoln took over after that on the way to a 15-0 non-conference softball victory on Saturday afternoon.

The defending Class AA state champions scored four runs in the bottom of the first, three more in the second, and then ended the contest with one out in the third with eight more runs.

The Patriots hit back-to-back home runs in the first frame, a three-run shot by Norah Christiansen followed by a solo homer by Paxton Dekkers.

Madison Evans and Dekkers each had three hits for Lincoln, which accumulated 15 hits as a team.

Ayrlie Waldo and Addyson Keller each had singles for Central.

The Golden Eagles will be home for three games this weekend, hosting Mobridge-Pollock on Thursday, Rapid City Stevens on Friday and Sturgis on Saturday at Koehler Hall of Fame Field.

“We’ve got our work cut out for us this week,” said Central coach Cassidy Neer.
