NORTHVILLE – Brevin Fliehs and Braxton Imrie each had three hits, while Dillon Abeln racked up eight strikeouts as Groton defeated Warner-Ipswich-Northwestern 9-0 in high school baseball action Thursday night.

Fliehs had an RBI triple in a two-run fourth inning, and run-producing singles in a five-run fifth, and a two-run sixth to help power the Groton offense.

Colby Dunker had a pair of hits for Groton.

Abeln scattered eight hits over seven innings, walking just one batter. W-I-N had runners in scoring position in four of the innings, but was unable to scratch across a run.

Samuel Vetter had two hits for the hosts.
