Hagberg helps Deuel to sweep over Milbank

CLEAR LAKE – Katrina Hagberg struck out 15 batters in one game and threw a no-hitter in the other as Deuel swept Milbank in softball action on Saturday. The Cardinals won the opener 5-1 and took the nightcap 10-1.

Hagberg was dominant in the first game, recording all 15 outs on strikeouts. Offensively, Rylynn Streich powered the Deuel attack with a double and a triple. Kennedy Harmon also had two hits.

Hagberg did not allow a hit and struck out six more batters in the second contest. She also helped her own cause with a triple.

Harmon, Hope Bjerke, Roxanne Raml and Elle Holden each had two hits for the Cardinals.
