PIERRE – Ipswich had three of the top 11 golfers in the boys’ division on the way to winning the team title, while Miller placed three in the top six positions in the girls’ division to collect that team championship.
Wesley Wittler of Sully Buttes shot a 72 to clip teammate Gavin Colson by one stroke to win the boys’ individual championship. Miller’s Jayce Pugh fired a 75 to win the girls’ individual crown by 10 strokes.
Sully Buttes was runner-up in the boys’ team standings, while Selby Area was second in girls’ team points.
The Ipswich boys were led by Chet Peterson in third with a 75. Teammates Jace Konsor (81) and Tucker Kadlec (82) finished ninth and 11th, respectively.
Olivia Olson of Sully Buttes was second in the girls’ division, followed by Kaihlyn Anderberg of Miller, Olivia Mikkelsen of Potter County, and Taryn Hettick of Selby Area to round out the top five.
