Ipswich sweeps team titles at Super Region Meet

GETTYSBURG – Ipswich won multiple events on the way to sweeping the team championships at the Super Region Meet on Thursday.

Kyle Hettich won the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash and ran on a pair of winning relay squads to lead the Tigers. Rasmus Loken won the 110-meter high hurdles and pole vault, and was second in the 300-meter intermediate hurdles. Trevor Heinz won the long jump, ran on two winning relays, and was second in the 100.

Leola’s Dustin Wurtz won both the shot put and discus.

On the girls’ side, Jalyssa Hutson of Ipswich won the high jump and pole, while teammate Sophia Knittel claimed the 200-meter dash.

Breanna Jochim of Herreid-Selby Area won the 100-meter dash, and also ran a pair of first place relay squads.
