MILLER - The Mobridge-Pollock boys and the Potter County girls claimed team championships during the Central South Dakota Conference track and field meet Saturday. Miller was runner-up on the boys' side, while Wolsey-Wessington grabbed second for girls. Ryli Thompson had a big day for the Mobridge-Pollock girls, winning the 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash, and running on the winning 800-meter relay squad. Potter County won eight events in the girls' division, including three of the five relay races. There was also a lot of parity on the boys' side with only Miller's Alex Schumacher winning more than one open event. He captured the 800-meter and 1,600-meter runs. Miller’s Alex Schumacher leads the field as he competes in the boy’s 800-meter run earlier this season at the Northern State Open indoor track and field meet at the Barnett Center. Schumacher won the 800 and 1,600 at the Central South Dakota Conference meet on Saturday in Miller. Photo by John Davis taken 3/26
